What is Community Supported Agriculture?
We want our customers to be part of the farm. Community Supported Agriculture is about truly connecting people to their food. We want our members to see how their pork is grown, to have a connection with their food and feel re-assured that the food their family eats is grown ethically, without the use of hormones and chemicals.
We want our members to understand what it’s like to be a farmer and know that the money they spend on their food is a fair price for local farmers!
We are planting trees, we are building soil carbon, we are using time controlled grazing – this is no ordinary farm. And these are no ordinary pigs.
This is the reason why we started the Extraordinary Pork CSA… we want our members to come and see our farm, pat our Berkshire pigs, understand how our free range pork is produced and walk away with the satisfaction of knowing that Extraordinary Pork is grown with love and ethics.
We have 1 space in our CSA!
If you would like to join just email Farmer Michael: firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I get a box delivered into Sydney?
We don’t offer delivery into Sydney – instead we supply Feather and Bone in Marrickville with our free range pork. They offer grassfed, pastured produce. You can find their details here.
How many members are there?
There is only 40 members in our CSA. Our aim is to offer the best service we can to our customers and we feel that the best way to do that is to stay small. That’s right, we would rather be small and great than just plain big! We have started a waiting list for those who would like the first spot if someone decides to leave the CSA.
